Darrell's Guitar Corner

My name is Darrell Shepard. I am a singer/guitarist for hire living in the Seattle area. I perform for the retirement community featuring music from the 40's, 50's, right up through today. I provide a fun musical journey with songs from the big band era, 50's ballads, guitar instrumentals, and much more. So spend an hour with me experiencing the greatest songs of the 20th century, the soundtrack of a generation, and the music that defined an era.

About Me

Darrell Shepard: Kirkland, Washington, United States; I currently specialize in playing at senior communities in the Seattle area. I provide a journey through their musical past and a nostalgic discussion of the Great American Songbook of the mid 20th century. I got my first guitar for Christmas when I was 14 years old (thanks Mom) and rarely has a day passed that I haven't picked up and played this incredible instrument. I played my first gig in front of a live audience when I was 15. I studied Classical and Jazz Guitar at the Balboa Music Center in San Diego for several years. I was in my first band when I was 17. A few years back, I formed the Band "Midlife Chrysler" with Bruce Williams and Scott Ingalls. And I can sometimes be heard playing at the NW Church in Shoreline, usually on an occasional Friday night at the Celebrate Recovery meetings. And if you are ever in a certain Kirkland neighborhood you can hear my guitar music wafting in the air from my garage on any given night.
